Masseria Cusmai

He was an olive grower and a Master oil producer. In 1925 he bought a farm located in the middle of a vast olive grove near Cerignola in Apulia. The structure belonged to the Croce family, Barons of Naples. With these new fields, Salvatore was able to improve his work.
The soil was optimal and the weather was very favorable. He carried on and perfected the native cultivar, among these there was the Coratina, the best cultivar. The extra-virgin oil was ready in November of every year, as it continues to be today, delicious and essential.
In time, first the sons and then the grandsons arrived. Thanks to them, Masseria Cusmai is today a trademark, and they also have the merit of succeeding in improving the production and allowing the Masseria to win numerous prizes and certificates of quality.
In addition to extra-virgin oil, new products were added, such as preserves and taralli. A number of other products are soon to come out
